THE PORT
A former whaling port, now a leisure port, home to some 20 colorful boats.
A former fishing port known for whaling, then tuna and finally sardines, like many Basque ports, the port of Guéthary, between Biarritz, Saint-Jean-de-Luz and Bidart, is now a leisure fishing port, home to some twenty colorful boats in dry dock - out of the water. With a lovely view not to be missed, and surrounded by beautiful and friendly gastronomic nuggets nearby. A visit much appreciated today by many Spaniards - the border is 15 minutes away - but also by many Europeans.
