Neo-Basque town hall with columned porticoes, two semicircular arches and sculpted Basque heads
In neo-Basque style, with its columned porticoes, two semicircular arches and sculpted Basque heads, the town hall or "Herriko-Etxea" is listed as a Monument Historique. This square is the heart of the village, where pelota games, songs, dances, markets and national holidays are held throughout the year. In 1910, the Jeu de Paume wall was rebuilt and raised, to make it perfectly suited to the Grand Chistera, a game requiring power, agility and precision. Construction of the town hall began in 1926.
