Chapel of the Holy Trinity, high up in the Elizaberri district, with a beautiful polychrome and gilded wooden altarpiece

The chapel was built in 1687 by Abbé Larralde on the upper slopes of the Elizaberri district. Note the lovely polychrome and gilded wooden altarpiece (1697-1698): the bas-relief depicts the Holy Trinity, bordered by fruit and flowers linked by ribbons with scrolls, human faces and a sun - the same period as that of King Louis XIV -. At present, this chapel is unfortunately little used, only for occasional services throughout the year.
