Le Txirimiri: traditional Basque restaurant at Hendaye Plage in the Basque Country
Le Txirimiri is a veritable institution in Hendaye! The restaurant's name is renowned throughout the département, and means "little fine rain" in Basque. The chef, Sabrina Jamin, is originally from the Charentes region of France, and has worked in such prestigious establishments as Michel Guérard's Eugénie les bains in the Landes region (*** Michelin) and Michel Rostang's 17th arrondissement in Paris (** Michelin), before moving to Hendaye to open this small Basque restaurant in 2018. She has also worked in Cap Ferret, Tarn, Guéthary and Urrugne.
We use mainly local produce, and she welcomes you from Wednesday lunchtime to Sunday evening out of season.

Our location: A privileged environment close to the Basque Coast. We're just 100 meters from Hendaye beach, one of the top 10 most beautiful beaches on the 3.5-kilometer Basque coast. You'll be able to stroll along this magnificent boulevard.
We're close to the Spanish border: Fontarrabie, so you can take advantage of the shuttle at the Bidasoa-Txingudi port, crossing the ocean in 5 minutes. Also close to Irun and Béhobie.
