THE HOOF MUSEUM
Buironfosse has been the capital of the hoof makers since the 12th century and hosts a beautiful Sabot and Heritage Museum. The Amicale du musée offers you an impressive collection of 556 clogs from all over the world; visitors can even discover how they are made. We really appreciate the theatre of automatons, in a barn where the song of the hoof makers resounds. It is a museum that wants to be alive, and reminds us that in 1880, nearly 2,200 workers worked with the hoof. In fact, before the First World War, 150,000 pairs of hooves came out of the workshops each year. Special mention to the team of volunteers who animate the visit in a wonderful way!
