THE FORTIFIED CHURCH
Nicknamed the "jewel of the Brunette", this building is admired for its perfectly military architecture. Devoid of nave, it was designed on three levels accessible by the spiral staircase of the defensive tower. The first level, dome of warheads, contains a beautiful fireplace. The second floor, which gives access to the north-west échauguette, leads to the common room where the inhabitants of the village, and even their animals, found refuge. Its steeple is in fact a brick dungeon built in the early th century and flanked by two towers. No fewer than fifty killers, cleverly distributed at all levels and on all elevations of the fort, allow surveillance and shooting without leaving a dead angle.
