JEAN DE LA FONTAINE MUSEUM
Museum allowing to rediscover all the fables thanks to innumerable supports of which drawings, engravings, paintings..
The house in which the writer was born, built in 1559 (which he sold at the age of 53 to go to Paris), houses the museum dedicated to him. In 1876, the house was transformed into a museum dedicated to the fabulist, thanks to the Historical and Archaeological Society of the town of Château-Thierry. La Fontaine's study can be seen on the first floor. Visitors will be able to rediscover all the fables in a variety of media: drawings, engravings, paintings, etc.

Beaucoup d'objets, de livres, de documents évoquent la vie de LA FONTAINE ou son œuvre. Moi, j'aime beaucoup les fables dessinées par CHAGALL !
