LE CHÂTEAU D’OLCE
Château d'Olcé, a fine example ofarchitecture in Iholdy.
In the heart of Lower Navarre, Château d'Olce is a fine example of 17th-century architecture, with parts dating back to the 14th century. The residence of a Grand Siècle prelate, it was built on the ruins of the family château by Monseigneur d'Olce, the bishop who blessed the wedding of Louis XIV and the Infanta of Spain in Saint-Jean-de-Luz. Richly decorated interior, with French ceilings, fireplaces and furniture from the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries... French-style gardens with a labyrinth and a water buffet add an incomparable charm to the visit.
