SAINT-FERREOL ABBEY
Church of pure gothic style organizing visits, exhibitions, meetings, projections and festivals in Essômes-sur-Marne.
Built in the first half of the 13th century, in the pure Gothic style, the church is worth a visit. The choir and the transept rise majestically on three levels. A remarkable point: the 38 oak stalls with carved backs in the Renaissance style, symbolic subjects are represented with scenes of secular life. The imposing baskets on the pillars of the nave and the transept, and the tombs of two abbots are also points to linger on. Note the splendid painting entitled The Wrath of Noah.
