In the middle of Fère-en-Tardenois, the old grain hall is a listed building dating back to the th century. The Montmorency works, this construction measures 42,36 metres over 13,75 metres and includes twenty-four outer stone pillars. The imposing roof has a remarkable structure built with the chestnut trees that populated the castle park. Today's tourist fleuron, the hall houses the weekly market on Wednesday morning. It is also the framework for many popular events. It was in this place that the Young Girl Violaine - first version of Paul Claudel - was premiered in 1946.
