Reception point of the tourist office, in the Watch House which houses the exhibition "Once upon a time on the Rhine".
The reception point of the tourist office is located in the Maison de la Wacht, the former residence of the city's night watchman, of which only the front part has been preserved and restored. The rear part, rebuilt in a more contemporary style, houses the permanent exhibition "Once upon a time there was the Rhine", a journey of discovery through the myths, legends and history of the Rhine, including a model showing the river from its source in the Gotthard Mountains in Switzerland to the mouth of the North Sea and a painting showing Father Rhine surrounded by his tributaries by Moritz von Schwindt, a 19th-century German painter.
