According to legend, the knights woke up at Liesse noticed a young shepherd whom they sent to warn their mother of their return. The latter joins them on the Chemin de Walking. They had to ask the statue that became too heavy. Seeing this a sign, they returned to Liesse to ask definitively, it is in this place that on August 18, 1857, the coronation of the Virgin, in the presence of nine prélats and eight hundred priests, His Serene Highness the Prince of Monaco, the Mayor of Liesse, and a crowd of spectators.
