The current chapel was built in 1818, on the location of a older, built in 1343 by Queen Jeanne of Evreux, niece of King Philippe the Bel and last wife of King Charles IV le Bel, which was burnt in 1793. Legend says that the queen was buried in this former chapel, when she died in 1370, without any evidence. In the vicinity you will find a sandstone polissoir.
