DRAGON CAVE - CHEMIN DES DAMES MUSEUM
One of the most important memorials of the 1914-1918 war as it was occupied by the Germans for more than two years!
It is one of the most important memorials of 1914-1918. In January 1915, the Germans launched an offensive here and seized the Grotte du Dragon, one of the most important French positions. They set up an underground barracks with firing posts, a hospital and dormitories, where they remained for over two years. Now transformed into a museum with a modern scenography, the site reveals its secrets to visitors, allowing them to immerse themselves in the daily life of the soldiers.
