BAR-RESTAURANT D'ALTITUDE LE GRAND TÉTRAS
Restaurant with a nice view from its terrace with a traditional menu, vegetarian dishes on request.
Its magnificent terrace and its sublime viewpoint are famous: from here the Basque and Bearnaise mountains are revealed... It must be said that at an altitude of 1,450 m, the buildings do not spoil the panorama! The only restaurant on the Issarbe estate, Le Grand Tétras is accessible by car all year round and even in winter, the roads are perfectly clear. In fact, even if you are not a fan of snow sports, you can still enjoy yourself and have a great time. Anthony welcomes you with generosity and it is she who manages the kitchen. She likes to make it and pamper the gourmands, the menu changes very often according to the market, the chef works in connection with local producers. The menu is traditional with charcuterie, local cheeses, full plates with eggs-belly-piperade... innovation draws on the jewels of the Béarn region and it's excellent! La garbure is served at all hours and as for desserts, the home-made pastries are a festival: creams, pies, tiramisu, cakes... In winter, sandwiches are offered and you can combine night snowshoe outings with meals. Vegetarian dishes are on request: from the setting to the reception, the Capercaillie is at the top.
