The monument to the children of Saint-Quentin who died for France was inaugurated on July 31, 1927 and designed by architect Paul Bigot and sculptors Bouchard and Landowski. It pays homage to servicemen throughout history. It bears the names of 1,361 soldiers, including those of the 10th Territorial Infantry Regiment decimated in 1914. Saint-Quentin, on the front line of both world wars, also honors the members of the Musician Tell network shot in 1944.
