SOISSONS MUSEUM
The Soissons Museum is located in the old Abbey Saint-Léger, founded in the th century and rebuilt in the th century. It houses an archaeology room, a local history room and the paintings of the Italian, Flemish and French school masters. Combining archaeological treasures from different sites and collections, the museum presents the history of the Aisne valley and the evolution of societies in northern France. The section devoted to fine arts has allowed works by Daumier, Mostaert, Courbet or Boudin, a section is entirely devoted to contemporary art - Pellegrini… The local history of Soissons is also traced, through plans and models to see the monuments now missing. All of these collections are organised around the cloister of the th century.
