BELLEGARDE MILL
The Bellegarde Mill is a traditional water mill that is still in operation. He grinds wheat and corn. In the past it was a "noble mill" unlike the "banal mill" where the villagers had to go: this one was the property of the lay abbey of Lespielle. Since 1998, the Association de Sauvergarde du Moulin à eau has been taking care of this historic establishment. Henri, the miller will then show you in the slightest details the presses and explain how they work. Wheat flour is offered for sale. Anchored in the life of the department, the Bellegarde mill is often present in the various regional and departmental events, an opportunity to discover the behind-the-scenes and the site is particularly charming, as you can imagine!
