MÉDIATHÈQUE FRANÇOIS-MITTERRAND
After six months of renovation work, this library in a former hospice (formerly the Office of the Poor) reopened in early 2013. Located in the city centre, it allows you to borrow more than 250 000 documents (books, magazines, CD, DVD or CD roms). It is here that an ancient fund of great wealth includes illuminated and printed books from the libraries of the old abbeys, the college of the diocese and the chapter, and special collections. Among these valuable works is the collection «Bucquet-aux-Cousteaux», a compilation of documents relating to the history of Beauvais from the th century to the th century (one part was digitized on the http site: //bucquet.beauvaisis.fr). Many internet and wifi stations. Also temporary exhibitions. The Cultural Space François Mitterrand also houses the Eustache-du-Caurroy Conservatory and the Beauvaisis Art School, which hosts 650 students each year over 50 weekly workshops, including around ceramics.
