The castle was transformed into a farmhouse at the end of the th century by the Marquis de Nointel. It was then called the castle of the Etournelles, perhaps because of his towers (there were three towers in the th century). In the 5 th and th centuries, it is flanked by a beautiful barn in the th century and a large ha park built by Louis-Sulpice Varé, the architect of the Bois de Boulogne, with fruit trees, roses, flowers, and an English-style park with a pond with an island.
