This castle surrounded by water is very photogenic on the outside.

Surrounded by water, the castle is initially very photogenic outside. It was constantly enlarged and restored by its lineages of occupants: the Orgemonts, the Montmorencies, the Condés and above all the Duc d'Aumale, who endowed it with priceless collections of works of art, such as Nicolas Poussin's The Massacre of the Innocents. The Cabinet des Livres, one of the richest libraries in Europe, contains some 13,000 volumes and manuscripts. A visit to the large princely apartments and the private apartments of the Duke and Duchess of Aumale is a delight.

Un château magnifique, proche de l’hippodrome, avec une grande allée, des sculptures en très bon état, ainsi qu'un immense parc également conçu par André le Notre.

Superb visit, the castle is very well preserved, it is very nicely furnished, the painting collections are magnificent and the library is remarkable! The gardens are very well maintained and walk in the park is very pleasant.

Un château magnifique aussi bien d'extérieur que d'intérieur. Entouré de petits plans d'eau, qui font d'ailleurs sont charme, il comporte de nombreuses pièces dont le grand salon et une bibliothèque impressionnante. Il est possible de s'y restaurer pour les budgets élevés.

Un cadre superbe pour un prix un peu élevé c'est vrai mais ça vaut le coup au moins une fois! Le parc par beau temps est très agréable (surtout le hameau) et le château vaut largement la visite. Si vous en avez la possibilité le restaurant et sa crème chantilly authentique est un régal!!
