Since 1977, the race takes place on the grand square of the Imperial Palace (which no one calls General-de-Gaulle, except your GPS). The Compiégnois, proud to celebrate the forty years of departure from the imperial city, renamed this ordeal: Paris-Compiègne-Roubaix. The rich weekend programme starts on Saturday morning with a lounge that delights collectors. In the afternoon the teams are presented in front of the impressive Imperial Palace. Animations and a large booth village complement the program. On Sunday morning, at 10 a. m., the runners begin their journey on the pavés of the castle square, the beginning of the "Northern Hell".
