This castle houses historic apartments from the 18th century, the First Empire and the Second Empire...
Fortress built under Charles V, the castle was completely rebuilt under Louis XV in the 18th century. After the revolution, NapoleonI had it restored to accommodate his second wife in 1810. Then, the castle knew a new hour of glory under Napoleon III. The castle became a national museum after the fall of the imperial regime in 1870. Today, you can visit the historical apartments of the 18th century, the First Empire and the Second Empire, the museum of the Second Empire and the car museum. The park of the castle is quite spectacular.

Imperial Apartments, Sunday > Monday 10am-6pm, Musée du Second Empire 10am-12pm, Musée de la Voiture 2pm-6pm. See different timetables on the website. Free admission for children under 26. Adults: €10 (concessions: €9). Castle park: free. Workshop: adult €11, reduced €9.

Côté organisation : il n'y a qu'une seule caisse pour s'occuper à la fois de la billetterie et de la boutique (livres, cartes, souvenirs, etc..). Si donc vous ne voulez pas faire deux fois la queue, il vaut mieux faire ses achats en même temps que vous prenez les billets d'entrée !
