SAINT-DENIS CHURCH
Church with an elegant bell tower housing three beautiful bells.
Listed as a Monument Historique, the church of Saint-Denis stands proudly above the town. Gauthier le Blanc, Count of Valois, is said to have erected the church in the medieval village, within the walls of the fortress he had built in the 11th century. Rebuilt in the 12th century, the building suffered during the English siege of 1433. The elegant bell tower houses three beautiful bells: Marie-Françoise, 780 kg, gives the F, Agathe-Virginie, 570 kg, rings the G, and little Adèle-Julie, 410 kg, rings the A. Today, it's a parish church.
