Don't throw it away! Give your books new life and a new chance to homeless people. The Sart Shop recovers (almost) everything: books, CDs, DVDs, video games. Articles are sorted and valued. Those in good condition are resold in their solidarity bookshop, others are used to feed the funds of associative libraries. And for bad books, they're resold to the local paperworks in order to be recycled. The fledgling initiative has so far employed 10 people from the accommodation centres of the Lille metropolis (handling, sorting, storage, preparation of orders, expedition…). The aim is not only to give them work but also to help them regain their autonomy. Deposit boxes are available in several parkings of malls in the region. Find the list on their website.
