The Méliès is first four labels of exception: Art and Testing, Research and Discovery, Young Public and Europa Cinema. Not bad for a little cinema, not? These awards, the Méliès, owe them an eclectic programming and its primary mission: offer visibility to all films, French and foreign, not receiving media coverage. But what's also the success of Méliès is the importance it gives to spectators. The cinema team takes the time to explain its programming choices and, above all, listen to suggestions from the public. Eager to offer a new experience to its audience, cinema organizes debates, concerts and even exhibitions to accompany meetings. A way to discover the universe of cinema otherwise. The Méliès also offers a pedagogical mission by organising meetings for the young public and by proposing workshops in which the smallest can familiarize themselves with the techniques of the cinema. Finally, proof of its quality and commitment, the Méliès established a fruitful and lasting partnership with the Rose des Vents national scene in Villeneuve-d'Ascq. A really different cinema!
