SAINT-VINCENT CHURCH OF LUCQ-DE-BÉARN
Romanesque-Gothic style church made of white marble and entirely sculpted, located in Lucq-de-Béarn
When you push the door open, you're bound to be surprised. A sarcophagus dating from the 5th century is located in this Romano-Gothic style church. Made of white marble and entirely carved, it was discovered under the paving of the church in the 19th century. The latter now serves as an altar and gives the building a special appeal. A sound and light show sometimes retraces its history and presents its rich furnishings. Nearby, the remains and the tower of a former abbey give an idea of the scale of the original building. Outside, you can observe the bell-tower-porch and its basket-handle door.
