Medieval castle of the XIIth century dominating a valley, the interior traces its rich history, military garrison and prison in the XIXth century
A medieval castle from the 12th century, modified in the 14th and 15th centuries, it features a drawbridge, an underground prison, a well... In the grounds, you can retrace its history and the adventures it experienced during various conflicts: English domination; reconquest by Gaston de Foix, during which it was ransacked and burned; Wars of Religion. Dismantled in 1642, it was partially rebuilt in 1648, then in the 19th century served as a military garrison and prison. Beautiful views over the valley. The tour is enhanced by audio tracks accessible via QRcode. Wooden games for children.

Open 10am to 1pm and 3pm to 7pm: Holy Week, Wednesday March 27 to Sunday March 31, Easter Monday (April 1); Wednesday to Sunday, April 10 to May 12 (Thursday May 1 closed). Saturday and Sunday, May 18 to June 16, Whit Monday, May 20. Wednesday to Sunday, June 19 to July 7, all week except Saturday, July 8 to August 25 (closed July 28 for fireworks). Open Wednesday to Sunday, August 28 to September 29. Adults: €3. Children (aged 6 to 13): €2 (free under 6). Groups (20 people): €2. Listed as a Historic Monument.

Nous sommes navrés que vous n'ayez pas pu visiter le château, il sera ouvert ce week-end de 10h à 13h et de 15h à 19h. Nous contactons le guide vert pour qu'ils effectuent les modifications pour l'année prochaine.

Merci beaucoup pour votre commentaire. Si le parking est plein, il y a aussi des places le long de la route :). Paiement en espèces, chèques, CV, en effet nous n'avons pas de connexion suffisante là-haut pour des paiement en CB...pour le moment.
