Workshop-boutique Don Quichosse, suggesting a guided tour to discover the steps of manufacturing 100% natural shoes
Timothée Cangrand, a true enthusiast, remains one of the few craftsmen still working in Mauléon, the town that pioneered the espadrille. Each shoe is made from 100% natural materials: cotton for the canvas, jute for the sole, rubber from rubberwood. A guided tour explains every stage of production! Classic plain, striped, wedges, summer and winter collections (including espadrille slippers): you're bound to find an espadrille to suit you!

Opening time and information on ATELIER-BOUTIQUE DON QUICHOSSE
Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant. July-August, open Monday to Saturday 9.30am to 12.30pm and 2pm to 6.30pm, Saturday 6pm. May-June and September, Monday to Friday, 9am to 12pm and 2pm to 6pm (for Saturday, call ahead), rest of the year Monday to Friday. Groups (15 people): visits by prior arrangement: €5/person. Online sales and custom orders available.

THE WORKSHOP DON QUICHOSSE A MAULEON LICHARRE
It is in the bastion of the espadrille, in Mauléon Licharre, that Don Quichosse makes his espadrilles in the purest tradition, from the models of our ancestors (those still worn in the Basque Country) to those that are still up to date.
The workshop also serves as a factory shop, a museum workshop where you will feel the weight of the years. It is a lively place where we will share with you our passion, our love of work well done, in the midst of machines that are more than a hundred years old.
Don Quichosse is also a shop-museum in Ossés, in the village of craftsmen near Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port. This small museum, free of charge, will tell you the history of the espadrille through time.
