Located in the heart of the city center, the cathedral is well worth a visit! It's the oldest Gothic cathedral in northern France: it suffered a great deal during the French Revolution, which explains why the building is so sparsely decorated. But don't miss the wall of light in the transept. And don't miss the small adjoining chapel, Notre-Dame-du-Bon-Secours: the walls look like lace! Don't forget to take a look at the rare and truly exceptional antique liturgical furnishings.

Très Belle cathédrale ancienne de style gothique qui mérite d'être visiter pour ses pittoresques statues de Saint Eloi et Saint Médard ainsi que pour le très beau reliquaire doré de Saint Eloi se trouvant au coeur derrière l'autel. Les explications données à l'entrée de différentes chapelles se trouvant sur le pourtour du coeur nous apprennent beaucoup sur l'histoire de cet édifice au cours des siècles. Ne pas manquer de faire le tour extérieur de cette cathédrale pour y découvrir notamment s'y accolant une bâtisse comprenant une salle de justice et deux prisons des plus hétéroclites ! ainsi qu'un magnifique bâtiment boisé, une ancienne "bibliothèque".

La cathédrale de Noyon est un très bel édifice gothique qui mérite d'être visitée si on est dans la région de Noyon. Et si l'on a des enfants au collège, c'est une très belle et instructive visite où ils pourront appliquer ce qu'ils ont étudié en classe au sujet de l'art gothique.
En plus si la journée est belle et ensoleillée on peut parcourir le centre de Noyon, bien fleuri en été et pourquoi pas si vous vous y rendez en début Juillet, assister au Marché des Fruits Rouges, très réputé dans la région.
