JEAN CALVIN MUSEUM
Museum that allows you to discover a collection of rare bibles printed in the century.
The town enjoys international renown among Protestants, as Jean Calvin was born in Noyon on July 10, 1509. The museum reveals the personality of the reformer and traces one of the fundamental contributions of the Reformation: the translation of the Gospel into secular language, thus giving the greatest number of people access to the divine word. The exhibition also features a collection of rare Bibles printed in the 16th century. The Olivétan Bible (produced in 1535) is a unique example, a reference that has endured until the last century.
