A Gallo-Roman sanctuary at Orrouy, featuring the ruins of a temple, a theater and thermal baths.

In the middle of the fields, on the southern edge of the Compiègne forest, you'd never suspect the existence of this Gallo-Roman sanctuary from the first centuries AD! Long forgotten, it was only rediscovered in 1850. The temple's sculptures and some of the finds are now on show in a new room at Compiègne's Musée Antoine Vivenel. On the square are the ruins of a 1st-century square temple and a 2nd-century theater, as well as thermal baths.

A Champlieu, faites comme les Romains!
Vestiges d'un temple, amphithéâtre et thermes non loin de Compiègne ou Pierrefonds. Vous pouvez entrer dans ce lieu librement et imaginer ce à quoi ça pouvait bien ressembler à l'époque d'Astérix ;)

on peut y découvrir un théatre, des thermes .... pour ceux qui aiment l'histoire, site enchanteur et calme, en pleine nature.
