IMERYS TOITURE
This French company, a subsidiary of the Imerys group, is the French leader in clay roof tiles. The company has the widest range of tiles on the market, composed of tiles with strong historical roots in all French regions, available in colours and shapes adapted to local terroirs and specificities. Imerys Toiture is the first company to have its roof tiles certified Origine France Garantie.
History. The Imerys Toiture brand, which was created in 2001, is the result of the successful merger and integration of several major players in the manufacture of clay roof tiles. The scope of consolidation has been extended following successive additions to the group of famous brands. Thus, the tiles were first marketed under eleven brands such as Gilardoni, Saint Germer, Wardrecques or Sainte Foy, synonymous with high technical and aesthetic quality.
At the end of 2018, Imerys Toitures was sold to the American pension fund Lone Star for €800 million net.
The products. Terracotta tiles, solar tiles, cladding tiles, roof accessories... Imerys also offers the "Historic Monument" tile, which has all the characteristics of an old tile with the technical qualities of a new one. It is a classic flat tile that like the original ones is made of terracotta. It is shaped and cooked in Berry on the Grossouvre site.
Employment. 1,100 employees spread over 14 production sites. In 2017, the company achieves 300 million euros.
