NOTRE-DAME CATHEDRAL OF SENLIS
Notre-Dame de Senlis cathedral, in Gothic style, rebuilt with splendid flamboyantly decorated side facades.
The building is distinguished by its smaller size than its Picardy neighbours. This cathedral was built in 1150 and was consecrated forty years later. The initial Gothic style was reworked in the 13th century. In 1504, a fire destroyed the roof structure and led to the collapse of the vaults. Its reconstruction will be the occasion to raise the upper parts by 6 m, to double the aisles of the nave and to adorn the side facades with a splendid flamboyant decoration.
