In the Middle Ages, the village of Verberie was due to its fame at its castle, Charlemagne residence (and important place since all kings of France were in attendance from the 1359 th to th of its destruction). There is only the th century chapel. It overlooks the rest of the building. Previously, large windows of windows spread to the east and west and triplet to the south éclairaient the chapel. Today's windows have a prism-shaped network of two lancets from which a rose appears to emerge. The current northern croisillon, reworked in the th century, conceals its origins: It was the chapel of the Virgin founded at the beginning of the th century for the rest of Jeanne de France, wife of Philippe le Bel.
