Once a year, the Hortillons, dressed in their traditional century costume, go down the Somme in a horn boat.
Once a year, the Hortillonnages market gardeners, dressed in their traditional 19th century costume, go down the Somme in a horn boat to sell their fruit and vegetables on the Place Parmentier. The market, organised by the Association for the Protection and Safeguarding of the Hortillonnages, is a unique opportunity to see the town from another angle, in a warm, family and friendly atmosphere. This unique market retraces, with its scents and customs, the tradition of authentic products from the famous hortillonnages. A tradition since 1882, true pride of Amiens, to support and rediscover each year.
