PERRET TOWER
The city's landmark building, a concrete tower marking its passage through Amiens.
This emblematic Amiens building welcomes you as you leave the station. After the Second World War, French architect Auguste Perret worked on the reconstruction of the station area. The project began in 1942 and was completed in 1953. This concrete tower remains the most visible trace of his time in Amiens, and one of the first skyscrapers in Europe. At night, you can admire the cube at the very top, which is illuminated by 192 glass panels displaying the colors of the rainbow: a giant hourglass!
