The house is set back from the town center, making for a very pleasant visit.

Located a little behind the city center, the house of Jules Verne makes for a very pleasant visit, even (and especially!) for those who know nothing about the life of the famous French author. In a beautiful building surmounted by a cupola, you can discover his life in Amiens, extracts from his works and walk - literally - in the footsteps of the heroes who are part of his work. The visit can be free, guided or with an audioguide. Many workshops (for all audiences) are organized, as well as weekly writing workshops. Not to be missed!

J'aime beaucoup ce musée/maison qui retrace à la perfection la vie de Jules Verne. Prenez un guide qui vous expliquera en détail l'histoire de Jules Verne. J'ai beaucoup apprécié la visite guidée de toutes les pièces, même le grenier !

Ce musée est si bien fait qu'il vous transporte dans l'univers de Jules Vernes, notamment dans la partie grenier. Un parcours à plusieurs niveau vous permet de découvrir la vie de l'écrivain dans un cadre magique et authentique. Dommage que la boutique du musée ne soit pas aussi magique.

It is an unmissable visit to make during your visit to Amiens, and the building is very beautiful and curious. Entrance price of EUR 7.50, well studied tour path with passage in all rooms and floors (attention is "sporty" with its metal staircases, but you also have access to a lift for the PMR). It's furnished, with many windows hosting the testimonies of Jules Verne's life and works. To do when there are not too many visitors at the same time, the coins are pretty small.
