THE CLOISTER OF THE GREY NUNS
These lost ruins in the heart of the city centre raise questions. It is in fact an old cloister, listed as a historical monument in 1940, the year of its destruction. In the 17th century, this enclosed space was home to the Grey Nuns, who belonged to the last order of Saint Francis and were named after the colour of their habit. Their days are devoted to contemplation and the search for the divine word. During the Revolution, the place was transformed into a factory, before being destroyed during the Second World War. Today you can still admire the galleries and arcades.
