LA MAISON BELLUIX
A building dating from the late and centuries, housing art workshops and a media library in the heart of Morlanne.
In the very centre of the village, the Belluix house, a building from the late 15th and early 16th centuries, has been restored and has regained all its former glory. Its architecture reflects the power of its original owners, lords who gave it their name, while until the 20th century it was used as a flour mill. A past that continues as each month, the ovens are set in motion to bake bread in the traditional way and even your own culinary preparations! With its three floors and its inner courtyard, it is a must. Its type of noble house could originate from the north of the Loire, with two distinct buildings on a narrow and long plot, connected by a gallery served by a stair tower. A dovecote in the upper part of the stair tower, two bread ovens and swallow's nest exteriors were found. Listed in the inventory of Historic Monuments since 1976, it hosts three art workshops dedicated to crafts and open to the public, an exhibition space for art crafts, the Morlanne media library, and Béarnaise cooking workshops. In the courtyard is the market in a unique and authentic setting!
