SAINT-FURSY CHURCH
This church houses a statue of Saint-Fursy in reconstituted stone and a decorative frieze symbolizing the Evangelists.
Destroyed in 1914 by bombings, the church of Saint-Fursy was rebuilt between 1934 and 1936. The show begins on the outside, with a remarkable façade, made of a tangle of bricks, more or less dark. And the interior is not in rest, thanks in particular to the spectacular architecture of the choir, and its succession of broken vaults in lancets. Also to be discovered: a statue of Saint Fursy in reconstituted stone, by Gérard Ansart, and a decorative frieze symbolizing the Evangelists.
