Mourenx came out of the ground in a few months in 1950... which is unique in France! Discovering this city and its unique history, linked to industrial activity and the local economic basin is fascinating. The interpretation trail allows you to discover the history, heritage and secrets of the town through a particularly well thought-out urban walk. Playful, it is punctuated by 5 information stations with explanatory desks and impossible to get lost thanks to the 75 markings on the ground that guide you. Why create a new city, how to think about it, structure it, build it an identity, adapt it and make it evolve... it is through all these questions and especially their answers that Mourenx, a pioneer city that grew like a mushroom, reveals itself.
