HYDROPOWER INFORMATION CENTER
Located next to the Sainte-Marie hydroelectric plant, on the Aspe gave, the EDF information space allows to discover the operation of hydroelectricity, water and environment issues and also the specificities of the department's hydroelectric facilities. With the beautiful valley of Aspe, water is obviously at the heart of the presentation, of the memory it represents to energy that it induces, but it also offers valuable information that will delight the curious of nature, fauna and flora. The history of the use of this natural resource by man and the current operation of EDF are highly instructive. The films, tactile and sound tracks make teaching fun, and it is aimed at adults and young people alike. With this centre, the aim is to offer the general public an interactive and enriching experience that values the territory, but also raises the awareness of sustainable development by exposing the eco-sustainable approaches conducted by EDF and local actors. A temporary exhibition space also invites you to learn about local talents.
