CRÉCY FOREST
The 4,000-hectare royal forest at Crécy-en-Ponthieu is a favorite spot for horseback riders, hikers and cyclists.
Attached to the county of Ponthieu, the royal forest of Crécy was only a small part of a larger massif. A real green lung of the department, the forest of Crécy, with its 4,000 ha composed of 70% beech and 30% oak, and 20 remarkable trees, gives off scents that no one can resist. Clinging to the treetops, its coat of greenery filters the sun's rays, diffusing a soft light. A favourite place for horse riders, hikers and cyclists, 8 walking trails have also been mapped out in the forest.
