THE CHATEAU D'ÉPAGNE
The castle of Epagne is a story of destruction and reconstruction. It was first built in the Middle Ages, in 1312. Of this first version, there is nothing left of it. It was only at the beginning of the 18th century that the current castle of Epagne was built, which was redesigned until the 19th century. Today, the curious can observe through the wrought iron gates a large and majestic stone and brick residence surrounded by French-style gardens. The interior cannot be visited, as it suffered a lot from the German occupation during the Second World War, but we hope for a restoration soon that will satisfy our curiosity!
