MUR D’ESCALADE
Administered by the French Alpine Club, the Orthez climbing wall is one of the most beautiful and sophisticated in the region. Built by the CAF d'Orthez in the summer of 2007 in the Pierre Seillant sports hall, an extension was added in the summer of 2010, as well as a bouldering hall in September 2012, intended for unrestrained climbing. A new extension was added in August 2019. The wall, 33 metres wide and 10 metres high, houses more than 60 lanes from 4a to 7b, spread over 24 corridors. With a sloping slope, a 3-metre overhang, dihedrals, a slope and a pillar, this structure offers a wide variety of possibilities for discovering the activity for beginners, as well as for training and perfecting experienced climbers. The kingdom of the climbing in the heart of Béarn.
