Maison Baylaucq is a haven of peace and choice cultural events
Part of the Musée National du Château de Pau, the Maison Baylaucq is a haven of peace and cultural activity. Exhibitions and educational workshops linked to the museum's collections are organized here. Its architecture bears witness to a rich past and is set in the heart of the château grounds, which have been awarded the "Jardins Remarquables" label since 2022. Initially a wood warden's house under the Ancien Régime, then a bathhouse in the 19th century, it became a middle-class residence before being acquired by the State in 1999. It also houses an important collection of antiquarian books, formerly housed in the salons of the neighboring château.
