FINE ARTS MUSEUM
Musée des Beaux-Arts in Pau, one of the largest museums in Aquitaine, with collections of paintings and contemporary art
Housed in a 1930s building designed by the architect Ruiller, this museum is one of the largest in Aquitaine. The museum's collections offer a fine panorama of European artistic creation from the end of the 15th century to the present day, through a thematic display that changes every year ("Contemporary", "Revolutions"). Masterpieces from the Flemish, Dutch, Italian, Spanish and French schools are on display. The incredible list of artists on show includes Rubens, Degas, El Greco and contemporary artist Jacques Monory. Workshops and exhibitions are held regularly. An unmissable visit to the heart of the city.
