PARK LAWRENCE AND VILLA
Park with hundred-year-old trees, a remarkable villa, a playground and a riding school. An address to be found in the calm of Pau.
Magnificent point of nature and heritage of the city. The park takes its name from the name of the villa nestled in its setting. It is composed of hundred-year-old trees, such as cedars of Lebanon, lawns, a playground and a carousel for children. An opportunity to find peace and quiet in a peaceful place. The Lawrance villa, in the heart of the park, is in Flemish and Germanic style. It was built by the Schlumberger family and in 1893, the villa became the property of the Lawrance family. Purchased by the City of Pau, it has long housed the Presidency of the University. Since 2002, the headquarters of the English Circle has installed its collections there.
