FESTIVAL CHÉS WÈPES
Organized by the agency for "ech picard" in some communes of the Picardy coast (Le Crotoy, Cayeux-sur-Mer, Mers-les-Bains...), this festival invites the novice or bilingual public to come and discover the Picardy culture and language while having fun. Showcase of the "picartitude", it is an unmissable event for lovers of this regional language. In Picardy, "Chés Wèpes" means "The wasps", but it also refers to an endearing and lively character. This festival, totally unique, offers shows (tales and legends, songs, music, humour...) in sometimes astonishing places (art galleries, underground...), traditional games or even mini funfairs.
